The Game
Headshot Holdout is a modernization and redesign of classic Call of Duty Zombies gameplay. We introduced character progression, multiple-map runs, and restored the core fun of what made the original zombies a cult-classic.
Players are a WW2 reconnaissance team sent to investigate strange reports, they are killed on arrival and resurrected by death itself to free him from the grasp of the nazis. Over the course of 5 levels of fast-paced team gameplay, players level-up acquire new powers and tighten their squad mechanics to triumph.
My Role
was hired to take the core-concept of ‘modernize classic Call of Duty zombies’ and execute it in an extremely tight timeframe. I made all major design decisions, hired additional professionals for music and art, and did all primary development tasks in C++ and Blueprint. I also did the voice acting, which I honestly had a blast with.
Outcomes
We have released a free demo of the game on steam, and are publishing in early access in mid-November 2026. Our placeholder trailer got almost 700,000 views and generated massive organic traction.
